This Documentary Trailer is named Blackfish and was created by CNN Films to show the cruel ways in which captive orca whales where being held and forced to perform for the audiences entertainment. The documentary mainly targets the general public however it also reaches out to sea world customers. Blackfish was first shown at an film festival however it later was released on Netflix and most streaming sites such as youtube. The trailer starts by showing the animal in its natural habitat and then it switches to a close up shot of a trainer and a killer whale in captivity with a man talking about how much power they hold and how they are highly intelligent. However the peaceful atmosphere is broken when you here a police phone call of how a killer whale has killed a trainer. This happens on a black screen that just has the date of release of the film. Then there is flashes of a violent whale which is added in there for dramatic effect and to get the point across that the orca knew what it was doing and that it was vicious. Towards the end of the trailer there is many shots of killer whales being violent in captivity but being calm in the wild which gets the point of the documentary across. They dont show all the graphics at once, they split them up throughout the trailer to keep it being action packed and hard hitting to entice the audience to see more. The videos used are mostly of the animal however there are a few clips of people being interviewed about sea world. The main message that comes across in this trailer is that orca whales should not be housed in captivity and that sea world is to blame for the death of the trainers.
In comparison the movie trailer for the Lion king was created by Walt Disney and was created to send important messages of friendship, love, and hope to the children that watch it. The movie was created for children however it became hugely popular with many adults enjoying it as well. Lion King was released to cinemas on the 9th of July 2019 and then like most movies went to many TV channels after that as well as being on Disney +. The trailer starts off by showing the Disney castle and then cuts to simba and Nala in the elephant graveyard with Scar talking about some life lessons. Then the hyenas start to come around scar. This is when the dramatic music begins. And once scar says 'Begging for Scraps' it cuts away to the graphics which says from Disney. Afterwards there is a Wide shot of the pride lands with birds flying over it. Throughout the trailer there is life lessons and wise words from many different characters within the show such as mufasa. Then with some motivational music in the background there is many clips of different animals that live in the pride lands. Towards the end there is many clips of animals as the animals prepare to fight with Mufasa supplying wise wisdom in the background. It then goes to the credits where we see the cast of the movie. The main meaning behind this movie is good vs bad and as many people watching this movie has already seen the first movie meaning the trailer doesn't really need to show what happens in the movie
In comparison, This advertisement was created by the NHS to raise awareness of the dangers of consuming antibiotics when it is not actually needed. However they did this in a very catchy song so that the audience will remember it. The song was created mainly for adults just so that they know the dangers. It was released to mainstream TV channels in February 2017 as apart of the Public Health England campaign and proved successful as it inspired behavior change about taking antibiotics when they are not needed. The video starts off with a single pill singing about how good they are however the clip changes quickly to many pills sing with some on a sign that says antibiotics dont work for everything. It then moves on to the pills dying and raising awareness that antibiotics cant make a virus better The song then starts to get quite sad as many other pills start to die whilst the lyrics say ' when you really need us we can stop working for you' Towards the end the main pill dies and whilst its ghost tells you to take your doctors advise. At the end there is some text which also tells you to take your doctors advise with signs of the NHS and Public health. This advert proved hugely popular and they certainly got the message across with the video getting 500,000 views on youtube alone however most people would have seen it on TV.
This advertisement was created by oculus to promote their new product, the oculus quest 2, and to show how it is better than many other vr headset including their most popular , the original oculus quest. The advert first starts off with the product appearing through a white background to show off that it is the first white vr headset produced. It then takes you for a tour around the headset whilst telling you every type of spec that it has and how it is better than its predecessor. Afterwards it switches to the controllers for a quick moment and then goes back to the headset and into the lens whilst it tells you what is compatible to play with it. It could be floating in mid air to connote the amount of freedom that you get when using it compared to other headsets due to it having no wires. It then shows you where you can turn it into a pcvr by using an oculus link. The headset then flies away leaving the price in which it starts at left. Towards the end it comes back on screen with both controllers and we see it once again from the front perspective. After that two pieces of text come up from the bottom which tells us that it is by oculus and that oculus is owned by Facebook. This ad has also proved hugely popular with the product flying off the shelves.
